Walloping Websnappers – A Spider-Man Podcast

Walloping Websnappers! is a bi-weekly podcast in which Spidey-Fans Doug and Derek dive into every Spider-Man cartoon ever made! From the swingin’ 60s through the rockin’ 90s to Spectacular, Ultimate, and beyond, we’ll explore everything weird and wonderful about our favorite Webhead, alongside occasional detours into the games, movies, and (of course) comics that shape our favorite webslinger’s multimedia landscape. Like turds in the wind, we’re releasing a favorite Patreon episode! One of the most unhinged movie franchises garnered our most unhinged movie commentary... it's that beautiful love story between down-on-his luck reporter and hungry space goo, Venom! We discuss our evolving feelings on Sony's bizarre villain/anti-hero/monster movies, Tom Hardy's inexplicable and eternally sweaty performance, the truly awful villain that we can't remember the name of, our awe at Michelle Williams being in this movie AND the sequel, lobster tanks, blue fluorescent lighting, and much more!

We’ve reached the end of the first season of the very first Spider-Man cartoon, and Cassie and Tommy Proffitt of Distant Echoes: A Star Wars Podcast have joined us for a genuinely funny episode! First, Scorpion drinks a bunch of chemicals that turn him into a fun-loving, car-stomping kaiju. Then, the Fly Twins return to play a bunch of pranks while being absolutely stoned out of their minds.

Stik Braxton (author and host of Clueless Vino and Too Tall Boyz) joins us for a pair of bizarre ‘67 Spidey stories involving the Fountain of Youth, Ponce de Leon, a destructive violin, and a very 60s take on this newfangled rock and roll fad! Plus, we get one of the worst child characters we’ve ever encountered.

Set your clocks and stay out of the shadows in this week’s ‘67 Spidey episode! Dr. William Lester of Blackwater Media joins to discuss J. Jonah Jameson’s obsessive need to fix an entire clock tower, which gets him tangled up in a rocket-powered Vulture’s plot! Then, Spidey is plagued by shadow creatures that just happen to be created by one of our all-time favorite villains!

It’s officially the horniest episode of our podcast, thanks in part to guest Chris Cummins of Sci-Fi Explosion! We talk about a Spidey ‘67 episode with a huge twist that Derek accidentally spoiled last week, and the most lubed-up, spicy, innuendo-laden supervillain we’ve ever covered.
